SNS College of Technology has a robust faculty base of over 250+ members, of whom over 100+ have acquired PhD. The student-faculty ratio is an impressive 1:15 to ensure an optimum nourishment. Some other statistics include: total faculty with more than 10 years of teaching experience-60%, experience between 5-10 years of teaching experience -30% and in less than 5 years -10%. Faculty Qualifications: M.Tech:50% ME:30% PhD 20% from IITs, Anna University and foreign universities. The faculty has so far published 500+ research papers and filed 50+ patents with that having received over 20 awards for excellence in teaching and research.

The admission process for SNS College of Technology, SNS Group of Institutions, is relatively competitive. Some of the primary statistics: 30,000+ applications every year; there are 1,200 UG seats and 360 PG seats. Ninety percent of the seats are filled through TNEA counseling, and 10 percent comes through Management quota. Cut-off percentages: 94 - 98% (Computer Science), 88 - 92% (Mechanical), 85 - 90% (Electrical), 80 - 85% (Civil). The top 10% rank holders in the TNEA are considered. Eligibility: A 45% aggregate in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Selection criteria: 10+2 marks (100%) and TNEA rank. The seats are very less and students apply from all over Tamil Nadu. So, the competition is very high here, and getting selected is a very tough task here.
