{Source: BPT students & alumni}Swami Vivekananda National Institute of Rehabilitation Training and Research (SVNIRTAR) - Good for BPT? Yes, SVNIRTAR is a good option for pursuing a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) degree. Here's why:* Patient exposure: The college offers great patient exposure for practice and learning, which is essential for developing hands-on skills in physiotherapy.* Experienced faculties: Faculty members are pioneers in physiotherapy education, knowledgeable, and experienced in their respective fields.* Relevant curriculum: The course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready, preparing them for real-world challenges.* Campus placement: Although campus placement hasn't started yet, most students get placed through recommendations in clinics and hospitals, with an average salary of INR20,000 per month.* Internship opportunities: Students receive internships, which provide valuable experience and exposure to the industry.* Facilities: The college has good infrastructure, including digital classrooms, a central library, and a gymnasium.* Co-curricular activities: Regular cultural and sporting events foster a sense of community among students.* Scholarship opportunities: Meritorious students can avail scholarships, and top performers are recognised and rewarded. However, some drawbacks mentioned by students and alumni include:* Mess facilities: The mess facilities are considered subpar, with limited options and quality issues.* Limited Wi-Fi availability: Wi-Fi connectivity is not available throughout the campus.Overall, SVNIRTAR appears to offer a well-rounded physiotherapy programme with adequate resources, experienced faculties, and opportunities for growth and development. While some aspects may require improvement, the benefits seem to outweigh the drawbacks for aspiring physiotherapists.
