You have to do hard work if you are not willing for coaching but I suggest to do Akash Coaching for IIT admission.
Hello Ashish,
Number coaching institutes are not a must. There are many students who join IITs with self-preparation. It's tough but not impossible. With studies of 12th, it further complicates the issue. It is for this reason that many students take break of one year to exclusively prepare for IIT entrance exam.
Best wishes.
Hello Aryan,
There are enough students who have cleared JEE Mains without joining any coaching class. You have to have perseverance, capacity to do hard work and most importantly have set a goal! Take CBSE books, study all subjects everyday, give mock test everyday and you will be through.
Best wishes.
Hello Debargha Samanta,
Keep these points in mind before starting preparation for IIT:
Time management
Follow a schedule / prepare a plan.
Know the syllabus and the exam pattern well, weightage.
Coaching classes online or offline? Self-study.
Study concepts, solve problems and look at solutions.
Solve previous year’s papers.
Take timed practice test series.
Group study, hangout more with toppers
Health is wealth.
Manage Distractions through self-control app.
Retrospect your day.
IIT entrance paper have always something different .
IIT-2016 paper have 2 papers.
Paper-1 and Paper-2 with 54 questions and 184 marks each.
Devoting one full year for JEE preparation after completing class 12th has its own merits and demerits. Dropping a year means that you will get sufficient amount of time to prepare for competitive exams. It will allow you take mock up test and help to score good ranking in competitive exams.
However, one year is a long time, so the possibility of you may change your goals and objectives. You may become lethargic because of availability of time and lesser pressure.
Hello Pravin,
Firstly, do not panic. Syllabus for JEE Mains is same as 12th of CBSE. But let me assure you that contents of state board & CBSE do differ widely.
If you are appearing for JEE Mains this year then I suggest that you should join crash course of some coaching institute. They will teach you many tricks for shortcut answers and some more.
Best wishes.

IITs only give admission on the basis of selection in JEE advance, and a few IITs provides B.Arch course.
No, you can't get admission on the basis of NATA scores, admission are purely based on AAT scores.
