Pilot with Air India,

Looks does matter for any candidate aspiring to be a cabin crew. As they are considered the face of the airline. A few considerations may always be done to bring some bright candidates in. Scars if arena't in any visible area, are ignored. If you have additional qualifications like fluency in any foreign language apart from English and Hindi, etc. Your work experience also adds to the qualification criteria.

Dear Anjali,
You can work as an "Airport Manager" but for this u have to be MBA from a reputable college. Hence I am suggesting u to go for MBA. But even if you have did your B.Com from a prestigious and reputed universities (or college) with having excellent academics then might you can apply for 'Assistant Mangers' or junior manager. Aviation industry is generally for engineers, MBAs and IT personnel. So at first you might face some barrier to step your foot in this industry but don't look back. This industry is awesome for freshers.

Hi,
Here are some requirements that you are mandatory to fulfill in order to be hired. Minimum 18 years of age - This actually depends from airline to airline, some might only hire you if you are 21. High School Graduate - Every airline requires you to finish 12th grade (any subject) before applying, English - English is a language that is universally understood, thus airlines require you to be fluent in it. Knowing an additional language isn't compulsory but can be a add on. You can also check the eligibility criteria of the course on their official website.

Pilot with Air India,

Hi, there is no such specific list on languages, which you should be aware of, but yes they do expect you to be exceptionally good in English, as it is globally accepted and your mother tongue Hindi, as it will help you in domestic sectors. You may learn languages which are spoken or are national languages of destinations where your airline operates. For example Air India Express operates mostly Saudi and Emirates, where the dominant language is Arabic. So if you have good knowledge or probably if you have done any course in Arabic and you are certified for certain level of proficiency in Arabic then you shall have an upper-hand during sel... Pilot with Air India,

The vision required to become a cabin crew is 6/6. They accept 6/9 in the weaker eye. If you use specs to keep the vision 6/6, then that is acceptable. The use of contact lens is usually not recommended. I would personally prefer using specs over lenses. Medical standards also differ from airline to airline. So you should verify the standards before application. Some allow use of lens to a certain limit.
