Yes, Indian students remain fully eligible to apply for and enrol in MS in Computer Science in USA. India is still the largest source of international students in the US, and admissions eligibility itself (bachelor's degree, GPA, English scores, SOP/LORs) hasn't changed. What has changed is the F-1 visa framework around your stay, and this is genuinely worth knowing before you apply for Fall 2027 or later.

If you scored 90,000 in the SC category on JEE Main, you might be able to get into several government engineering institutes, especially the newer or lower cutoff schools. Think about investigating:

State Government Engineering Colleges: The cutoff points are lower at several state government colleges.

Institutions of the Newer or Emerging Government: These might have more accommodating cutoff points.

Check the most recent cutoff trends and take part in the counseling process to find prospects for specific solutions.

You can look for state engineering colleges accepting JEE Mains score. If you want to pursue engineering from IITs/NITs only than you can also go for one more attempt (if its your first attempt). If you want to do engineering than go for a state engineering institute and work hard. You can try for GATE and again look for IITs/NITs to complete your M.Tech. Just be determined towards your goal. Best of Luck!

These NITs typically have cutoff ranks in the range of 50,000 to 60,000 for the SC category.

Additionally, you may also be able to secure admission in some of the newer Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs) with this rank.
