Just be confirmed about the books and authors you would be using are the appropriate and the best once. However, I'll suggest you to join some good coaching classes if you don't think that you'll be able to crack CAT with good percentiles with your self-study. (Because cracking CAT is not enough, you gotta crack it with excellent percentiles to secure admission in a good B-school)

Some tips for preparation:
1. Solve each and every question from the NCERT books
2. Once you're through with the concepts, you'll be able to solve questions from other books.
3. Solve the questions from DC Pandey (Physics), Pradeep's Chemistry (this is the book which I used) and RD Sharma, RS Agarwal and the MUOET Mock tests by Arihant (mathematics).
4. Try solving whichever questions you know first so that you have enough time to solve the harder questions.
