The course for GMAT and CAT is not significantly different. CAT is primarily focused on mathematics and English. GMAT focuses on critical reasoning as well. Mathematics for CAT is going to be much difficult than GMAT mathematics.
Reading section in CAT and GMAT are quite similar. Then, there is a sentence correction section in GMAT, which is different than CAT. Critical reasoning questions for GMAT are not at all covered in CAT. Also, GMAT paper is more time intensive as compared to CAT.

Hi,
While going for JEE, it doesn't matter which classes you choose to study from, what matters is that your concepts are clear. In JEE, what you need is speed, accuracy and knowledge as these are the only factors that might help yo in getting a seat at IIT. I, personally will recommend you to not go for any such classes as they charge high fees by promising that they will make you an IITian. Instead, you should go for a personal mentor who had cleared JEE Mains and Advanced and follow his guidance. With this strategy, the best place will be the place you wish to study at. Think carefully whether you still want to go for such classes o... View more
Hello Sajas,
It's a very crucial question. On one hand it gives enough time to study in a scientific manner and enhance chances of clearing JEE. On the other hand, monotony may set in which is counterproductive. In perspective of one's life, one year is very insignificant. If you are confident of perseverance at sustained studies you should definitely consider that option if taking break for one year.
Best wishes.
