GATE is fundamentally an entrance exam for admission to PG courses of IIT or NIT. Of course, other colleges also have adopted it. But if big data is considered as e&c then only. You better check with VIT directly.
It depends on the university whose entrance test you are appearing for. If the criteria for admission is only cracking entrance exam then there is no chance of entry.
Otherwise, admission will be based on the percentile of the latest degree achieved by you.

Are you referring to aeronautical engineering? I don't think there is any program called MS in aeronautics.
Please check University of Sydney, University of New South Wales (UNSW), RMIT University and University of Adelaide. They have good programs related to aeronautical sciences. Check if the programs are open to international students.
