JEE Mains Exam dates for 2018 are out. JEE Mains Exam will be held on April 8, 2018 in offline mode. JEE Mains online exam will be held on 15th and 16th April 2018. The JEE Mains cut-off is as follows:
General -81 Marks
OBC -49 Marks

JEE is well suited for CBSE students, so it's made tough. While in VIT even students from class 10th syllabus is made to appear, so the paper is made average.

Firstly yes, you can appear for JEE Mains exam on the basis of your Diploma also. From the information that I have gathered very few colleges giving admission via MHTCET route offer this course. Nevertheless, if you have valid score in MHTCET you are likely to get admission.
No, MHT-CET is the competitive exam conducted by DTE-Maharashtra to get admission in technical institutes which are governed by Maharashtra State Government. Indian Maritime University is in Chennai. So, irrespective of branch, MJT-CET score is not to be validated for admission in this university.
