Rank in VIT to get admission should be 90,000. So, you can get admission in VIT from the 6th category as well. There are various categories as well with each category admission fees go high. No, you can get a good stream the only thing is that it would fall in category 2 or 3 that means a bit higher fees.

You can block the course which you are interested in but the admission and the course you prefer depends on the no. of seats filled and rankings.
As those who got ranks between 1-100000 are called for VIT counselling, there are good chances for you to get admission. If you don't get VIT-Vellore, you can surely get at VIT-Chennai, Bhopal or Amravati.
