You can crack all MBA entrance examinations by self preparations. It is a myth that coaching is required to crack CAT & MAT.

You can target GRE, a score around 320-330 is good enough to get into good university. You also need to clear TOFEL (English proficiency test). Without entrance exam, its difficult to get admission in foreign university.

Well first thing, they have a very good online mock test series i.e. Aimcats. They are the best available in the market. They help you to prepare for any possible scenario which may be during the actual CAT exam. Second thing is their experienced faculty, although faculty at IMS is also good but still the knowledge and the guidance they provide is unmatched which you may never find anywhere.
3rd thing is competition, it would not be wrong to say that the best of the best join TIME to prepare for CAT. So the level of competition one face at time helps the person to push himself harder and in the process level up pretty fast.

Hello Saideep,
All the top B-schools in India provide admission to the candidates only if they appear for the entrance exams (specified by them) and clear the required cutoffs. Also, they have their own interview process, clearing which you will be finally admitted. So, there is no scope of getting into any of these colleges through any other means(e.g. management quota, etc).

MBA student at MDI Gurgaon,

For verbal ability, cracking the reading comprehension is absolutely critical. To be able to do so, read a good newspaper like the Economic Times thoroughly every day. It will not only help you improve your RC and vocab, it will help you tremendously during your GDPI process during which your GK is tested. Also work on your vocabulary. For LR and DI, there is no alternative to practice. Solve as many different types of problems as possible, and time yourself every time you solve. The practice of solving under pressure will help.Lastly, if you want to crack CAT, solve as many mock CATS as possible, as that is the only way you can prepare yo... View more

It’s better to compete in competitive exams and get admission through it.
You will have good choices to get admission in top B-schools of our country.
It is worthy enough to give exam and get admission in a good college rather doing it from any other underperforming college.

www.scholarclips.co.in,

For MBA, there are three types of exams:- 1) GMAT - International Exam accepted by business schools across the world and quite a few in India 2) CAT - MBA/PG Dip Entrance for Business Schools in India alone 3) College-specific exams which are conducted like the TANCET conducted by Anna University or an entrance exam conducted by Delhi University, etc., Hope this helps. Thanks.
