Management & IT Consultant,

Indian IT industry is slowly losing it's prime position because of global economical conditions and outcry against outsourcing. Creation of fresh jobs in the industry has reduced to single digit. Salary are stagnated for the last few years. Industry prefers B.Tech CSE/ IT and MCA graduates who are ready to be deployed on the projects easily without much effort. Therefore, you are advised to look for opportunities in mechanical engineering only.

Hi Ritu,
I would say instead of going for distance MBA in finance why don't you go for full time MBA in finance and along with it give your M.Com exams. That would be a win situation for you. Your work experience of 2 years would be like a cherry on the cake while you appear for your GD and PI.

It is good if
1. If you do it from tier 1 institutes only (Do not go any institute beyond top 50 list).
2. If you do not have any family burden / financial obligation.
3. If you have specific figure in mind (for top 20 B schools, you get average annual package of around 10 lakhs). Please check if your expectation is around this, if your expectation is beyond this and if your chances of getting admission in top 20 B-school, please do not opt.
