They should attempt mocks of various varieties and difficulty levels. </p><p>In the last two weeks before XAT exam, they must practice at least five mock tests and analyse performance. It depends on the branch you want to join. For branches like CSE, Mechanical, ECE, and Civil, you need to get at least 1000 to 1500 rank if you are from open category. There are other small branches like Metallurgy, Marine, and Civil Environmental. To get a seat in these small branches, you need not have a good rank like 1000 to 1500. Ranks from 4000 to 5000 (open category) are enough.

It’s hard to get into any of the Symbiosis College with that score. Even if you are a caste student, 21%ile is too less. Try for other entrance exams and try to score well like around 50-60% only then you can expect some good college. Also, as I said you need to perform well in GD/PI and should have 50% throughout your academics.
