Hi Pranshu, register yourself with ICAI for CPT. Exams are held twice in a year- June and December. It doesn't matter whether you are from science or commerce stream. I think you should attend CPT sunday classes and may be you can attend some accountancy classes to have a clear cut base as most of the science students have problem with accounts.

Unless you want to make career in Accountacy & Finance only by doing M.Com, it is recommended that you do MBA to have multiple career options. Currently MBA with finance certification is very good career option.

If you are a +2 student go for B.A. in your favorite subject. And prepare for IAS in the mean time. If you are already a graduate and/or not interested in IAS then you must go for a MBA course. Few good places to study are IIM's, Lovely Professional University, Symbiosis institute. etc. Don,t worry you sure have a bright future ahead if you are a motivated and hardworking student. Yes, definitely and why not. The only factor is clearing the cut-off and it has been clearly stated in the prospectus/ bulletin of information that gap years would be no bar for seeking admission in DU.

The pattern of both of the exams are very different. You will have to prepare separately for any of the exam and you can prepare for only one of the exam not for both.

It would be difficult to get a job after class 8th. In India, minimum qualification required is at least class 12th passed. This is also changing and graduation is the least required qualification.
