Do not go for any specific book for mass communication. You can get the latest editions of the general knowledge books to keep you update, but in my opinion, the Internet and newspapers are the best thing to read. Read and read is the only best option you have. Mass com entrance is tough at places. You need to update yourself with the current happenings of the entire world. This is a tough job though. Just go through all the updating stuffs like stories. Don't think that you are preparing for some heavy entrance exam.
