No, it will not but I suggest you that you can do the coding along with your studies. Because if a gap come in the studies it is not so valued. Coding is not a such big thing, as am also doing B.Tech in computer Science and engineering at every semester we find almost a new programming language and along our regular studies we all practicing the coding too. I suggest you that due to only coding don't make a gap in your studies.

At this stage, I would strongly recommend you to do your post-graduation in MCA as alone B.SC (IT) won't let you go far in your career as per current market stats. When you complete your MCA, you will be considered as professional and this will open doors of opportunities. And yes, doing certifications only add skills. But being professional is very important.
I hope it helps.

All Colleges these days offer career counselling. But, to be honest they are mainly promotional for their respective college. Their main motif is to convince you to take admission in their college unless your scores are bad in your previous exam marks. Their way of counselling is very different from professional career counselling. If you really want proper guidance in knowing what subject or career you should choose - then go to a professional career counsellor near your area. They will help you choosing the right subject & career for you as per your talent and calibre. Their charges are approximately INR. 3000/- to INR. 5000/-.

That's not how it works. In IISER Pune and IISc, you can't choose your subject before admission. After two years in IISER Pune and three semesters in IISc, you can select your major subjects. Then you'll have to study the courses specified by the respective department; you can choose astrophysics if you have a course. Also, you can do your thesis in astrophysics if you want.
