I would say, 287 is a bit low for Jamia Hamdard. It is a Delhi college and require high cut off score. BA MS is offered to students who score more than 325 or at least more than 300. I would suggest you to try some other university or college. You might have a chance here, if seats are left vacant and you have Muslim quota, but keep trying for other colleges.

No, NEET syllabus is mostly based on CBSE plus two syllabus prepared by NCERT. There is a huge difference between CBSE and State Boards Syllabus with regard to three main subjects-Physics, Biology and Chemistry. Andhra Pradesh students will have to put extra efforts to cover the vast syllabus apart from concentrating on regular intermediate examinations. For instance, in Physics, NEET syllabus covers extra topics such as Kepler's Laws, Kinetic Theory of Gases, Variable Force, Optics and the chapter of Electrostatics. Hello Rik,
You have got a good score.
MBBS is a primary course after which you have to do your PG as well. So every year you spend to get a government MBBS seat matters. Now you have two options, to take a repeat year or to take up MCI listed government medical university abroad.
After completing MBBS abroad you will have to appear for MCI screening exam to practice in India or do PG India. Similar exam is about to be implemented for Indian doctors. So doing MBBS abroad can be a good option.

The advantages are: You don't need to burden yourself in studying for NEET, means they will give you periodical tests so that you can revise your chapters often instead of studying them like a new one. You will also get a good guidance for NEET in clearing the concepts and you may also learn solving techniques.
The disadvantages are: You need to focus on both your board exams and NEET (if you are in 12th). So you need to balance both. You also need to learn for both simultaneously with full focus and concentration without losing anything.

Hi Janhavi,
With 300 marks and general category, it is difficult to get free government MBBS seat. But, if you have category benefits, then there are chances. Also, you can get MBBS seat in management quota and deemed universities. If not MBBS, than you can apply for BDS or BAMS or any branch of your choice.
