Hello,
I hope you are doing well. If you qualified and cleared the cut-off of JEE Mains in your category, then you should not take the drop because this will waste your time and you will suppose to start from scratch. Try to go for counselling and apply for government college, if you will not able to get the government college then go for some good private college but I suggest you not to drop until and unless you lose an opportunity by few marks to get an IIT.

<p>No, qualifying the UGC NET exam will not gaurantee the job for assistant professorship in college or university, it is only an eligibility exam. It means that candidates who will qualify for the exam are eligible to become an assistant professorship. To get job as assistant professorship they will need to apply for the vacancies released by the different universities. On the other hand, the qualified candidates who want to take jobs in the government universities have to appear in the exams conducted by the Central and State universities.</p>
