AAT (Architecture Aptitude Test) is an entrance exam for admission to IIT-Kharagpur and IIT-Roorkee. Candidates desiring to join the B.Arch programme available at both these IITs must appear in AAT. Only those candidates who have qualified in JEE Advanced are eligible to appear in AAT in 2019. The Joint Implementation Committee of JEE Advanced 2019 will decide the cut-off marks for passing AAT. Candidates securing marks above the cut-off will be declared PASS in the test. There is no separate ranking in the AAT. There is no separate cut-off for students of any category. Hi, for BE IT course, in general category you should score around 95-100 marks in MHCET. However, in JEE, you should score more than that. Actually, marks scored are different for different categories. There are many categories under MHCET.

53 is too low. Using this score you can't even get good private college. It depends on you, will be able to score good next year? So, that you will get admission in government college. According to me if you have enough faith in yourself that you can make an excellent score next year then only go for it. Or else I will ask you to not to take gap.

See, 40 is not a good score in JEE Mains, but if you compare your score with others in your city it may be approximately same. With your score, you can surely get an engineering college. Don't expect NITs or other government colleges, but you can get a decent college in your own city or maybe of your state. It is all relative, so you don't need to worry much. You can get into VJTI, SPCE or any private college you want. Choose your branch wisely and work hard.
If you have not appeared for CET or JEE, then you are not eligible for engineering admission.
But, if you have given either of them entrance exam, then irrespective of result you are welcome at our institute ICEM.
