Hello Anjali Suman,
It's nice to hear from you that you are interested in taking a year off for the preparation of JEE Mains. Yes, it's a good idea. I would like to advise you that join a coaching institute. One learns many things from our fellow students besides knowing different ways of studying the same subject. In addition, classes will invariably organise mock tests which are very useful ingredients in a successful attempt at JEE Mains.
Best wishes to you.

Alumni at LPU Jalandhar,

Dear Aspirant, Do not worry if you have dropped a year for the NDA preparation. You can take admission to the B.Tech (CSE) programme if you fulfill the eligibility criteria for the same. Many good institutes offer B.Tech (CSE) and every institute has its eligibility criteria. Being an alumnus of LPU I would share the eligibility criteria for B.Tech (CSE). To get admission you should have a minimum of 60% marks in the 12th class with mandatory subjects English Math, and Physics. Moreover, you need to qualify for the LPU NEST exam conducted by LPU. If you have not studied English as a subject, then you must have to provide proof of medium of... View more

Quantitative Analyst (Credit Risk),

Dear Aaquil!
If you remembered all the formulae of Class 11th and 12th. That would be very easy for you to clear this exam. Because as per the past trends, the more weightage is given to the conceptual question (or moderate one) rather core technical questions. However, I advise you to also learn about the Conditions associated with the formulas (means in which case to apply it not). Hope this helps. Upvote the answer if you feel satisfied. Good Luck.

Quantitative Analyst (Credit Risk),

Dear Unit !
Taking a year drop for JEE is riskier if you didn't achieve the target. Make your target to score at least 300+ in JEEs if you are planning to take a year drop. Scoring 300+ in JEE Mains is definitely challenging but possible. You have to be strict to yourself and follow these steps;
1)Keep the formulae on finger tips
2) keep a well organized study plan and follow it strictly
3) revise every topic 2 times before you appear for JEE 2019
4) solve atleast 100 questions per chapter
5) treat all three subjects equally
Hope this helps. Good Luck.

If you started, then see the pattern of paper as well as the topics frequently asked from the previous papers. Students score least in physics because of numerical problems. So work hard and have a good seating practice for study daily. Learn tricks in mathematics and physics to solve the questions in similar manner and quickly. Good luck.

I hope you are doing well. For MBA admissions, you will have to appear for competitive exams like CAT, MAT, CMAT, CET, etc. and they constitute English as its inherent part. If you believe you can work hard on your English then definitely go for MBA. Other than that SSC exam would be easier for you to crack if you have good quantitative skill and it would give opportunities to you as well.

Out of the above, the OG or Official Guide is more like a Bible for GMAT preparation. It is extremely necessary to glance the entire book before you move on to any other book. Once you have skimmed through this book start solving the questions in detail. The Kaplan GMAT Premier will help you understand questions better and will also explain concepts in a better way.
