Yes, you can surely get CSE but the colleges may not be good. I would suggest you to apply in SRM or VIT by giving their exams.

To get into COEP you need to get at least 98 and above percentile. One of my fellows is doing B.Tech in metallurgy form COEP he had 97.21 percentile. He got into that college in institute level round. So to get into good branches like CS/IT/MECH you need to work hard at least score 99+ percentile to get into those branches. To get into CS/IT You'll have to atleast score 99.92+. As in lot of good and old government colleges CS/IT cut off goes above 97 to 99 percentile. It's interesting proposition which you are making. Yes, there are many students who follow this route of getting success rather than going to the syllabus and understanding the subjects. I will definitely not recommend this approach because it is not doing any value addition to you.
