Sr. Section Engr(Design),

With so many options of CAT coaching available at the disposal of every student, it is but natural that students can feel overwhelmed while deciding which institute to opt for. However, one way by which students can make an informed decision would be to talk to the students who had joined the classes and get their honest feedback. This will surely help the students in narrowing down their options. Apart from that, you can also take the overall ranking of that institute into consideration and depending upon these factors take a call on the institute. The following are the top CAT preparation Institutes in Allahabad as under.

There is no need to start the preparation so early. You can start your preparation for MBA entrance SNAP, CAT, etc. at the end of 2nd year of graduation or from beginning of third year. Anyhow you will give exams in the month of November of your third year graduation only, so start accordingly.
It is very easy once you crack your entrance, you have to prepare for GD/PI processes. The best option for you is any specialization from general management i.e. marketing, HR, operations or finance.

Hi,
You should follow NCERT for biology, it will be more than sufficient for this subject. Solve MCQs in physics and chemistry and follow NCERT for organic chemistry.
Hence, you don’t need to join any coaching for these portions if you know the basics of biology and organic chemistry.
You can join any good coaching institute to clear your doubts and get help in solving maximum MCQs.

I'm afraid it isn't.
JEE advanced requires concept development, but BIT SAT requires speed and accuracy along with concept development.
But preparation to JEE advanced improves your speed and concept which might help a bit in bitsat. But the difficulty level and speed in these entrance exams are way different.

Plastic Mould Design Engineer,

You should prepare for your state. You can attempt all examination but remember that they ask GS of that state and language may also be a barrier. It should be easier to study about your state and in your own language. If you live in North States, then it may be easier for you apply in most northern states like Delhi, UP, Madhya Pradesh, UK, HP, etc.

Hello Vaishnavi Singh, oh don't worry. Losing confidence while preparing for major events is a pretty common occurrence in humans. But our inner resilience invariably takes us out. Of course, if you continue to have it for longer periods then only it becomes a cause of concern. You must think, what is going to happen if you don't make it to IIT? In any case, 95% of students appearing for JEE Mains examination can not make it to IITs. It's not the end of the world. As matter of fact with the same preparation and almost at the same cost, you can go to it, the USA for undergraduate studies!
Best wishes to you.

Get a clear idea of what the syllabus is. I hope you know that the exam consists of Quant, LR/DI, and English. Start practising. There are a lot of books available. Give time to all the four and to get an idea of the difficulty level of each, solve the previous years CAT questions. You can choose to take the test series of any coaching institute, later, if you think you need it.

Hello Prahalad,
Don't ever waste 2-3 years after 12th to get into IIT. It is not that tough and just studying for 2-3 years will make you a candidate of no use.
Yes, the interviewers look for the continuity of study. If you drop atleast a year, they will be asking you. So it is better to drop 1-year (only if you want and if you can). Otherwise, join a good college with your board exam scores and become the best engineer by doing higher studies.
All the best!

If you are getting admission in the desired college and engineering branch, then there is no need to drop this year. Although, if you think you can do better next time, then you can opt for the drop.

Anil, not much if you do your B.Tech from a good institute. But then it always is a gamble. What if you don't score good and don't get a good college. So, I would advice that don't waste two years instead take admission in whatever college comes your way and make max.of it.
In case your JEE score doesn't let you take admission or you din't give JEE, then try for admission in some good private universities that are imparting quality education to the students around the world. They offer you admission on JEE scores/ tests conducted by them/ your marks in 12th. Some of these also offer good scholarships based on any one of the above menti... View more
