Prepare for JEE Mains as IIST takes admission through JEE Mains rank. With that you need to qualify JEE Advanced to become eligible for IIST. Join some coaching or take a correspondence course as cutoffs of IIST are quite high and a thing here or there may cost you a seat you have enough time now to prepare for the exam. Hello Vallabh,It is actually futile to compare two totally unrelated subjects. Let me state that both these subjects are very challenging as well as fascinating on their own. Mr Jayant Naralikar is India's best known astrophysicist, but that does not mean everyone may like this subject. My sincere advice would be to go for that subject which fascinates you. After all, what is going to happen 5/10/15 years from now cannot be predicted. However, if you study subject of your choice, then throughout your lifetime you will enjoy.
