So after 10th, make her go for Arts stream. After that, select a few colleges from where she would like to do BA course. Select the colleges according to your location and fees preference. Generally most of the colleges don't have any admission test for BA; admission is done on the basis of class 12th board percentage. So, tell her to score as much as she could in 12th. If your selected colleges has any entrance test, then you can buy their books for the respective exams from any book stall.

If you belong to OBC category, minimum cut off required to get a call from any of the IIMs is 80 percentile & above.
It is not that easy to prepare for CAT in a rush. You have to take as much time you want to so as to prepare the best for it.
It you are very fond of getting admission in a top college, you better try CAT 2017. Till then you can prepare & score well by joining a CAT coaching Institute, do mock tests provided by them & make use of their CAT study material to improve yourself .
You can try this year's CAT also, so that you get a clear understanding to find out how to prepare for CAT 2017.

Since you are willing to do your MBA from UK, different universities have different criterion however seeking admission can depend on your percentage of marks ,IELTS score and experience(for some universities) . Along with the studies you can work 20 hours/week part time and after completion of studies PSW is no more valid in UK.

Dear Kiran,
There is no such particular stream which is considered the most appropriate for civil service exam. As you can see in the last year results, the maximum number of candidates selected for IAS were holding professional courses but that doesn't means that you have to pursue a professional course to succeed in civil service exam. You just need to be focused and have to prepare separately for the civil service exam, no matter which stream you belong to.

However, in general, it is recommended that you start preparing for the JEE well in advance, and ideally, you should start preparing for it simultaneously along with your board exams. Exams for B-School admissions are CAT/XAT/SNAP/TISS/CMAT. Cut-off depends on the college you are looking for admission, it varies from college to college. No doubt aim for higher percentile to be on safer side. You can check on individual colleges websites and discussion groups to get respective cut-offs.

Both have different formats of studying. For CAT, you need to focus on data interpretation, logical reasoning and verbal aptitude with as much as mock exams you can give.
For TOEFL, you need to focus and practice your speaking and hearing skills and need to be well versed with words and synonyms.
