Sarvesh you can't enter NIT based on Diploma, though you can go for IIT so you have to clear JEE Main first but your score card won't be released , only you will be intimated that whether you have qualified for JEE Advance or not and if you get into IIT then your scorecard will be released

Since you are in 12th already so take up the tests for SAT and TOEFL/IELTS asap as the early decision for USA starts in August/September. SAT is even valid for BITS Pilani admissions. For SAT, take a look at the mock tests at collegeboard.org or take some coaching. In the meantime, select the universities where you wish to apply and see all their requirements.

Hi Aditya. Well since you have taken JEE mains, you have already prepared the syllabus. The problem lies in the difficulty level of the question. There are two ways to clear JEE Advanced: perseverance and extraordinary caliber. Now (assuming you missed out on the former) if you have the latter, make the best use of these 40 days, understand the root of every problem, practice previous year papers and maybe with some luck you can convert it.

Basically, there are 3 sections in CAT exam - verbal ability, DILR, Quants.
Verbal ability-
Start reading newspaper daily to increase your reading speed and grasping power. Don't miss out the editorial page. Do proper analysis of articles on editorial page. Try to make summary of articles that you read para by para. However, reading newspaper won't be sufficient. Start solving RCs on a regular basis with proper analysis.
DILR-
