student's counselor,

Hi Supriya,
Let me tell you the details. If you aspire to become airhostess, then this is the eligibility criteria:
Eyesight: Airlines prefer the distant vision of 6/24 in each eye which can be correctable to at least 6/6 to one eye and 6/9 to other eye. The airlines would not allow you to wear eye-glasses, neither the candidates who have gone through operation to correct their vision will be selected. However, you can wear contact lens but the power of your lens should not exceed -2D (Minus Two Diopters). If you can go through this or if you can wear contact lenses, then there is a chance.
All the best.

Hi Yatish,Yes, it is necessary.
Clear Skin- A job that requires a high level of hygiene, would demand acne free skin, and if the skin is not clear due to hormonal imbalance, then it becomes a health issue again which is not accepted.
Scars/Cuts- Prominently visible scars become questionable and the Airlines do not want the crew to be questioned for personal attributes on board.
