Lecturer, NUS,

Hi Komal,
Scholarships are awarded by ets.org the administrator of TOEFL. These are mainly given to students studying in US and on family income. It is also very difficult to locate any such organisation because it is rare. Scholarships are generally given to study and not to take an exam. But you can communicate with Fullbright Commission and US Embassy for financial help.

Your SAT or TOEFL scores don't determine your chances of getting a scholarship. You need to have a very strong and well-rounded profile to be considered for scholarship abroad. The competition is really tough for scholarships so you need to make sure you excel in all areas, and not just scores.

The best type of TOEFL test depends on your specific needs and goals. If you are planning to apply to universities or colleges that require a thorough understanding of academic English, TOEFL iBT is the better option due to its comprehensive assessment and wider acceptance. However, if you are looking for a quicker assessment of your basic English skills or if you are at a beginner or intermediate level, TOEFL Essentials may be more suitable for you.

TOEFL doesn't really need any book. It is all about your English listening speaking and writing skills. Try to improve with some English book reference. You need to score 6.0 score or more than that to get accepted in any college abroad.
All the best.
