MBA Course is one of the most demanding qualification. Fees for MBA in India may vary from few thousand to Lacs. Popular MBA entrnace exams are CAT / CMAT / XAT/ GMAT. Entrance exam is not necessary but most of the good b school require entrance score. There are b school like Jamia, FMS, JBIMS with low fees high value and also b schools like IIM, Symbosis, XLRI with high fees high value.

You could pursue BSE / NSE run certificate courses on capital market related domains.
you could also pursue Certified Financial Analyst ,Certified Financial Planner courses
you could also do AMFI/IRDA certified courses
there are multiple options ,so first decide what are your interest areas,in which you want to pursue a career and accordingly pick up relevant courses

No, it's not necessary to have any work experience for getting admission in MBA through CAT. You can start preparing for CAT in the third year of B.Com.

It's famous for marketing. If you want to go for marketing, go for it.
If you are looking for finance as major or other specialisation like operations, financial engineering, HR, etc. colleges like IFMR and GLIM are also good choices.

Hi,I think it is a very good idea if you are doing it after MBA, because you are a qualified IAS officer and I don't think it is date ultimately it's your experience which counts you can definitely join the good Institute and start preparing for the exam there are many people who give exam after Masters MBA etc.

The UGC NET exam is conducted twice a year for the selection of candidates for assistant professor posts in the university and colleges, to pursue the Ph.D. and for JRF award. The candidates are allowed to apply UGC NET for the subject in which they have completed the post graduation degree or if the subject is not available they can apply for the related subjects. If you have been graduated 2016 or you will be graduating in 2017, you can give one more try for CAT/XAT/CMAT or other entrance exam. If you already have gap in your studies and you want to pursue MBA, you can go for UPES. If you are having job offer, it is better to go for job before to get some work experience before pursuing MBA.
