Sorry but your rank is too high in JEE paper 2 because above 300 marks are considered for admission in B.Arch in NITs or government colleges. So, there is no NIT available for you, so you should try for private colleges.

Hi,
Previous year (2k17) my friend got 219 marks in JEE Mains Paper 2 and 81% in 12th from CBSE board and he belong to OBC category, his gen Rank-9243 and OBC rank-3800, still he didn't get any college. So I think for a general candidate score must be above than 250 if board marks is not included.

<p style="text-align: justify;">No, they are not the same. There is a valley of difference between the paper pattern of both these exams. JEE Main Syllabus is strictly limited to 3 subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics). Every subject carries identical question weightage while the IMU CET Syllabus structure is distributed across 5 sections (PCM + English + General Aptitude/GK).</p>

Firstly I want to tell you that the subject you selected for UGC NET must be selected on basis of your potential. Choose the subject according to your interest this will help you to clear all subjects as good and not to feel regret after selected suggestive subjects. And other thing is eligibility for UGC NET
You must be completed your post graduation at least 55%. NET subjects are:-
1. Political Science
2. Social work
3. Economics
4. Philosophy
5. Management
6. History
7. Sociology.

The cut-offs vary year after year. Most colleges have a different provision for admission. You need to contact the institute officials personally for specific admission details as it differs from one college to another.

Hello Prashant,
Sorry to say, but you didn't scored enough to get seat in NIT as the cut offs for NITs for any branch is very high as compared to other colleges If we have a look on previous year cut off in general you need to score below 40k to get into NITs and below 20k to get into top NITs. All the best for future!
