Plastic Mould Design Engineer,

BA in Astronomy is a popular course, or you can also pursue BA in Sanskrit, and then pursue MA in Astronomy. For college, I would suggest for a local one, as there are a few good colleges, but it is not worth to leave home to study in such colleges, as there are no placements and in the end only your degree will matter anyway.

Quantitative Analyst (Credit Risk),

Hi Dollar,
First thing, you need to have maths as a compulsory subject in class 12th. Secondly, there is no such post of research astronaut (and there is no direct posting for astronaut). To be the research scientist, the ideal path is B.Sc. Then, M.Sc and Ph.D and a lot of industrial experience in research sector (with lots of publication, patents etc.). For Bachelor's level, I don't think that there is any (good) college in India who offers cosmology or astronomy or astrophysics at Bachelor's level. You may check of the website of IIS Bangalore (Indian Institute of Science). They offers some certifications course in Astrophysics. Hop... View more

Probably No. With only a B.Sc Physics degree, you can't achieve such a prestigious career where Lakhs of aspirants are already in the queue.
To go with an astronaut career, you must have a pilot's license along with a 2-3 year (not sure) professional experience of jet aircraft pilot, and an engineering experience too. Moreover, you will pass through physical tests. Your vision capabilities will also be checked. And, I think there is a limit of heights too.
