Hello, I can understand your angst and anxiety. Normally speaking backlog means how many subjects of previous semesters a student is required to appear during current semester exam. Of course unless a student clears all the subjects, he /she will not get degree Certificate. You can perhaps find out as to how many subjects you cleared in second or more attempts. This number could be called as backlogs
Best wishes to you.

There are numerous students who excel better in JEE Advanced comparatively to JEE Main. We study day and night for JEE Advanced not for JEE Main. Both are entirely two platforms to judge your knowledge. JEE Main requires a bit knowledge in each and every topic of NCERT but JEE Advanced requires deep knowledge in few famous topics. Last year, my friend scored just 128 in JEE Main but in JEE Advanced he performed really well. He is in IIT Guwahati. So, don't get frustrated by JEE Main. Score as your war isn't yet over. Tie your shoe laces tighter this time and prepare for JEE Advanced no matter what the result would be.

Your 31 percentile and 30,000 rank in ST category allow you to participate in JoSAA, although the chances of getting top NITs may be low. You may have a better chance in NITs from the North-East or in less competitive branches. Yes, you will definitely get a good job. Getting a good job depends upon your capability and your hard work not everything happens with studying in a top college only. Sometimes people from top level colleges don't get good jobs. Just work hard and give your best and don't listen to people you say such negative things and avoid thinking about such things they are only going to distract you.

However, during the last round cutoff in 2024, the JEE Advanced closing ranks for BTech admission varied between 89 and 3185 in the All India quota. In the first round, the cutoff ranks were more competitive for admission compared to the final round. Therefore, based on last year's cutoff ranks, a JEE Advanced rank of 7000 does not allow for admission at IIT Delhi for any BTech or Integrated BTech courses for students belonging to the OBC AI category.
