I can tell you about MAIT, as I belong to this college. Majority of students are involved in coding here. Coding culture is steadily growing and societies are being founded. Attendance is not an issue here, so you can do other stuff to give a boost to your career. Faculty is extremely supportive here. They not just concentrate on covering the syllabus but they really wish to see you excel in life. Fees is reasonable and you are in close proximity with Delhi.

Yes, the college will be able to provide ample exposure to the students. The campus is well equipped and the infrastructure is world class. In terms of faculty members it is disappointing as per the university standards what it claims, the only downside I found in SRM is their faculty members, they are not competent enough. But the overall the university is very good.

Hello. Yes you have guessed it right. In Cse, you will be doing coding all your life after graduation which requires a lot of hard work. That is the reason many Cse graduates move on to MBA or something after 8-10 years down the line.
Placement record is better in Cse than ece. But these 2 are different streams. If you wish to get into hardware like microprocessor, arduino etc, then ece is the branch. If you like coding, then go for Cse. ECE graduates don't get placed with google, Microsoft etc. But Cse people do. There are certain good companies that hire ece people as well like Texas instruments, national instruments, Qualcomm etc. ... View more

Shrey35959, ECE has less scope in India. Many of the IITs also have withdrawn ECE. But it is definitely a good branch if you wish to pursue it further for higher studies and all. In IIIT Allahabad , ECE has a nice course structure, but placements are mainly into IT companies. No doubt a lot of ECE companies also come but mainly it's IT based.
And as far as the order of preference is concerned , according to me it goes as. NITKKR(IT)->IIITA(ECE)->NITJALAN(CSE)->PEC(ECE), and rest you can decide by considering other factors also like distance from your house, location, food etc.

Yes, CSE has the best placements according to package for NIT Hamirpur. Many big companies like Samsung, UHG, Jugnoo visit the campus and offer packages ranging from INR 10 lakhs CTC to INR 22 lakhs CTC. Even if you are in IIIT Una, which is currently being hosted at NIT Hamirpur, placements are still good with many companies with packages around INR 10 lakh CTC come to the campus for them too. So, you need not be worried about placements, if you have the requisite knowledge that the companies demand.
