The major problem with CS/IT in NIT Srinagar is the abundance of unreliable, under qualified faculty members, most of whom have graduated and/or postgraduate from substandard colleges. So join ONLY if you are willing to submit to 4 years of self study because no matter how poor the quality of the classes is, the question papers are always of a high standard. Coming to infra, all you need for these branches is a well-equipped desktop and yes, NIT Srinagar has a lot of those but like I said, it all burns down to self study and you cannot rely on the teachers, not even in case of labs (especially not in case of labs). The schedule is moderate... View more

Hi Vishal, Since Harvard is one of the top universities of the world, it is obvious that admissions are going to be very tough. So, you have to maintain a very good academic standing, be good in extracurricular activities like sports, community services, etc. Besides studies, take SAT or ACT and overall have a good profile. You will also need the TOEFL. You will be competing with the world's best applicants to get admitted. If you are good in coding you should start building projects so that you can demonstrate these skills in your application. Prepare from now onwards.

With a 39,500 rank, you might not be admitted to the Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering (SVCE). It is unlikely you will get into the Computer Science Engineering (CSE) branch with an Andhra Pradesh EAMCET rank. This college allots admission preferably on the basis of TNEA rank. The CSE branch is one of the most popular SVCE branches, and the cut-off rank is usually less than 2,000, regardless of the type of exam. The TNEA cutoff rank for BE Computer Science and Engineering was approximately 2606 in 2021.

This college is entirely depends upon the vacancy. There is no such cut-off system. If you get a really good rank, like in the top 300, you can go for these courses, else it entirely depends upon the vacancy. Like if you get a rank between 1500 to 3000, and you want IT or CE, the chances are pretty low because maximum students go for IT and CE. But, when you go for counselling, they give you a form in which you can choose to upgrade to a branch wherein you can fill in your choice and later, you might get upgraded if there is any vacancy.

College Selection Expert,

Hello Nakul,
Chandigarh University is a private university and affiliated to UGC (University Grants Commission), as a full-fledged university and degree is provided by CU.
It has a strict administration and all the facilities related to study, but the university lacks experienced faculties in almost every department. Professors teach only pre-assigned topics, and no one tells any extra thing related to the particular subject which make the lectures less interesting.
The only thing that matters here a lot is ‘ATTENDANCE’ (Sometimes I feel that I go to college only for attendance). Nevertheless, things I like a lot about this... View more

Hi,
47% is too low for any foreign university, let alone Canada. You can and you should mention your disorder issue, challenges you faced and also overcame on your SOP however it won't help in too many ways since your academics are way below the requirements.
A certain set of standards have to be met. However, there is no harm trying, you can give your 100% and give a try at least. You can try applying to lesser competitive countries such as Poland, Ireland if you wish to.
