The only authentic information that could be found out is that the average package for year 2017 was of 6.9 Lacs. I am attaching a link of Thapar University that will give you some information about placements but not what you asked. First of choosing IT department is a great decision Ria. Yes, you'll get admission easily in 1st or second round. I'll suggest you to fill some good colleges above RGIT in preference form like VIT, DJSCOE . They are good colleges than RGIT.

It's for software or any other engineer, salary not depends upon your qualifications, that comes with your skills developed during work.
A PG in management surely works after 8-10 years experience to promote management positions.
Courses like MBA and system works more for you.

But their are numerous source through which you can seek knowledge in cs. Sources like Edx, udemy or many more, you can learn through many books. Knowledge cant be just obtained by colleges it can be obtained through any source. College will just give you degree not education

<p>For last year, the closing rank for B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering was 5075 which is very close to this range. This was for general category under All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one cannot afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cut offs keep changing year on year, it is advisable to try to score better ranks to increase your chances of getting admission in IIT Roorkee.</p>
