Sorry, you can't get CSE with this rank.
You can try for ECE in ABESEC or try in other colleges.
Your rank should be at least 5K.
There are certain conditions, which have to be satisfied in order to pursue B.Tech from IGNOU:
The candidate should have cleared XII with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (Required in case of Computer Science B.Tech) or must have completed a 3-year Diploma course from an approved and accredited Polytechnic University. The required field in which the applicant must have completed the course may vary depending upon the specialisation chosen (like civil, mechanical, construction management, etc. ). The field for Diploma might be:
Electronic
Mechanical
Computer
Chemical
Architecture.
If you are willing to put in some extra effort, study further and work in a core job, then it is totally worth it. The courses taught are not purely metallurgy based, i.e a healthy amount of materials Science is taught as well, such as polymers etc. The department has enthusiastic professors, and more will be joining soon. They are quite helpful and willing to involve undergraduates in research and seniors are always there to guide you appropriately. There is an atmosphere of active research here, and if you show interest, you'll probably do very well here. On the other hand, if you like to work in the IT industry, you have the option of a... In case, you don't get your desired college, don't settle for something mediocre. Instead of settling down for some mediocre college, it would be better if you try for some good private university. Many reputed private universities are offering B.Tech in different branches. They have different criteria for admissions. Some offer admission on the basis of JE... View more

As per my experience, LPU is the best engineering college in India. LPU becomes the best place to pursue an engineering degree with highly qualified teaching staff, the best laboratories, and modern technologies. LPU provides abundant opportunities for students to think out of the box. LPU is a better option, in terms of placements, best curriculum, infrastructure, well-experienced faculty, and provides hands-on experience on the latest technologies. LPU is providing its students the exposure by providing opportunities for guest lectures, workshops, industrial visits, internships, etc. I am saying this as per my experience and is an alumnu... The closing rank for general candidates is around 60. On a side note, I know of a girl who was of SC category who got into IIT Bombay CSE branch with a rank in the range 1000-1100. that is harsh reality of today education system.

Generally, B.Tech lateral entry classes in various universities in India, including PES University, often begin around July or August, in alignment with the start of the academic year.

However, it's important to note that start dates can vary from one university to another and can be subject to change due to various factors. I recommend checking the official website of PES University or contacting their admissions office directly to get accurate and up-to-date information about the start date of B.Tech lateral entry classes for Computer Science Engineering. Go for Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Engineering, PCCOE and other private colleges. You may not get the best on 68 score. But still these are some good colleges.
You need to write an improvement exam for that, as there are less or no chances for getting admission on that basis.
Hi Vishal,
It is good until you cannot get admission in NITs/IITs.
