The placements are really good in Bharath University and the institution is working really hard to give the best output ( ROI ). National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) platform, under Ministry of Human resource Development, Government of India, in 2017 recognizes Bharath University as 25th ranked institution in India in the category of private deemed Universities. It's good to do CS from this university. Best wishes.

At my admission time, there was only Vellore and Chennai branch two years ago and these branches are recently opened by VIT. Let me explain you the admission system here. Rank in VIT to get admission should be 90,000. So, you can get admission in VIT from the 6th category as well. There are various categories as well with each category admission fees go high. First category closed till 15,000 rank and you can get CSE till 9000 rank and IT till 11000 rank but there are 2nd category as well if you want CSE but you have to pay more for that. Bhopal and Amravati branches are opened recently. So, the rank to VIT University may go high as expect... View more

Hi Aakash,
You have a good percentage in 10+2, but Thapar University mainly considers JEE Mains marks and you're asking that to in CSE, it's so difficult to get in that branch I suggest you check other ones.

You needs to much work hard. The obtained JEE Main percentile is not enough for getting NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. You needs to score the percentile above 99 for getting CSE in asked colleges.

Above 90% and my Suggestion is you must approach University and ask what scholarship you'll get for this rank. If you take long time to decide scholarship will be no more available for you.

That depends on whether you are an External or an Internal candidate.
If you are an Internal candidate, then surely 80 would be more than sufficient to get you into any branch of your choice. I mean, most probably it would!
But if you are an External, then at 80, you most probably would get selected. Though you might not get into the branch of your preference.

The ground situation is such that with your percentile of about 64, you are not likely to get seat in any college for the branch of CSE. This is so because almost every student gives this branch as the first choice and as a result the cutoffs all the closing ranks for this branch are pretty stiff. In IIT Mumbai the closing rank for this branch is less than 100. However, if you are interested only in this branch then I can suggest you that the only way forward is to seek it under management quota of private deemed to the universities. You will need to contact these institutions individually and come to know about the process they want to fo... View more
