There is no upper age limit set for doing B.Tech in engineering colleges as such but the older you are, the more difficult it gets. The reason being firstly you have to have a good reason for the gap years between the class 12 and your B.Tech unless doing some other degree or Diploma course. Secondly your peers would be younger than you and thus can be given more priority over you for placement. So think accordingly.

Former HR, Oracle,

Hi Ashish,
You will be the best person to know the answer to your question. Ask yourself, why do you want to go abroad and what is your career plan? Don't go abroad without having any aim or plan. First know, what do you want. Management, banking, finance, account, etc. are some common choices after commerce but if you have other interests you have to check it out.

Hi Suyash,
You can decide this basis the percentage you obtain in class 12 and your budget. Top private universities will be more expensive compared to government universities even though the admission requirements may be flexible. You must also check the placement and reputation of the university or institute in the market.

Sr. Section Engr(Design),

Four years of gap is not an issue in pursuing M.Com. You can do the M.Com course from distance mode also from IGNOU or other open universities. The eligibility criteria of IGNOU is Graduates in any discipline or equivalence from a recognised university. The course fee is about Rs. 11000/ and the course duration is from 2 to 5 years. If you are interested in M.Com full time than it is advisable here that M.Com as a degree has now gone redundant and the industry no more is valuing it. You can do it just for being a Masters degree holder. Jobs just on the basis of M.Com will be rare or if there are on low level/clerical/data entry etc. So I w... View more
