Manish,
Don't worry buddy. Not just for IT and CSE, but all the engineering stream has same subjects in first year.
Good luck.
CET rank doesn't matter for NIT-K admission. Only JEE Mains rank matters.

Both are better in their own way. In CSE, there is a huge demand of skilled engineers and it is increasing every year as everything is going to be online in the future. Civil engineering is also a very good career choice as you can apply for government sector or either you can open your own firm and earn a lot. So, choice is yours. Choose the branch according to your interest and reputation of college if you take civil in any IIT or good NIT, then it is good.

Hello,
Hope you are doing well. You may get it if you are a General category student then you need a score of above hundred to get into a good branch. 120 above for any branch. I think your rank is so high and there will be hardly possible that you will get CET BBSR. Try once maybe you will get it. All the best.
Evening classes are better but if you can not attend them or have some set ways or targets like GATE or going for some coaching which prepares you for placements or work for earning then online degree is a good option.
You should mention your Home state for the cutoff kind of information. I'm writing in Other State respective. You can easily get CSE at NIT Jamshedpur, Patna, and Raipur. From placement respective, these colleges are very good you can choose the best. Apart from that, you can also get IIIT Gwalior which is also a very good college. I know by the time of answering JoSAA choices have been locked but if you feel like you didn't get the preferred college you can go for CSAB. Hope it helps.
I will list down some top colleges as per popular opinion:
College of Engineering, Defence Institute of Advanced Technology, Army Institute of Technology, Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, MIT World Peace University, Vishwakarma Institute of Information Technology, etc. (Not listed as per priority, all of them are great). But, if geographical location is not a concern then I had definitely suggest Chandigarh University as one of the best Computer Engineering college. It has great faculty and academic record, astonishing placements and a diverse peer group which helps enhance individual personality. I had recommend to checkout more ... View more
Your percentile is very good but not enough to get CSE branch in NIT. You require at least 98 percentile for getting CSE in NIT.

So I would suggest you that you should take admission where you get the best college.
