Hello Ghanashyam,
You have almost reached the completion stage of your Diploma in mechanical engineering & now wish to do something in IT. Right? If you have done class 12th then you can seek admission in BCA. If not then perhaps another Diploma in branch of your choice. There will be many institutions that can give you training in some specific SW programmes. If you do this then too you can get some job.
Best wishes.

Hello, Greetings from Shiksha! To get into top most engineering college for getting good branch you should have a score of 240 and above if you are a general category student. Else it will be a bit less, read NCERT books, this will help you a lot. Good luck!
For getting a good college, you have to score too well. You also, didn’t do well in your JEE, so it becomes complicated for you to get good college. There is only one way, you can get good college i.e. apply through management quota, but in this process, you have to pay heavy fees.

Have you applied for LNMIIT?
If yes, I think you will get CSE at LNMIIT.
All the best!
Hello Sohini Mondal, admissions in engineering colleges in the state of Tamil Nadu are restricted to domiciles of that state. It's difficult to get admission for a student who is not having domicile. However it's a different story for seats under management quota of private colleges. However, for this you will need to approach management individually.
Best wishes to you.
