Hello Preetham,
There are many good engineering colleges in Chennai with good rankings. As you have scored 95% in CBSE boards you can opt for SSN College of Engineering, Kalavakkam. It is a reputed college which offers better education and placements.
You try to get the top colleges in Chennai like Anna university campuses like CEG, ACT and MIT.
If you have appeared for any entrance exams like VITEEE, SRMJEEE then you can opt for VIT-Chennai and SRM University (KTR campus).
Yes, you are eligible according to your 12th percentage but you can't take admission directly.
You have to face the entrance examination for IPU that is IPUEEE and have to get that much of marks to be eligible for IT in Indraprashtha.
Aaditya,
LPU is one of the best private universities. My cousin brother is studying there. He is having regular placement assistance in the form of placement classes. These classes started for him from the first semester itself. Right now he is in his 3rd year and he has covered various aspects like verbal, analytical, etc. that will help him crack his placement exams.
You check with university for more details about their PEP classes.
Before opting government college, it is required check academic environment, faculty qualification and experience, industry exposure, reputation and placements of the institute.

But, I am damn sure, that the college won't miss this opportunity of placement for future advertising, as it'll be the first batch of University & Face of new University
