I suggest engineering is not the best career for the present time, unless you have extreme potential to innovate new things in the field of engineering and you get admission in to creamy layer engineering colleges. The reason is, every year, Lacs of engineers are passing out and the industry has no employment opportunities to intake all engineers.

It would have been easier to respond if you had stated your interests while asking the question.
If you have good grasp of physics then you can opt for the core branches i.e. mechanical, electrical and civil.
And, if you are good in computers and technology stuff then electronics and communications, and computer science are a good option.
There are other specialised branches like chemical engineering, aerospace, etc.
