You should opt for B.Tech in CSE/software engineering after your diploma. If you don't want to do B.Tech, then you should start from today. Try to learn basic concepts through YouTube and then study in detail.

Mentor and poet,

Hi Darshan, PTE score requirements depends on the college you want to apply into. Please check college websites. Your admission will also depend on your Diploma percentage. Universities in Canada are quite strict. If you don't have more than 65% admissions will be difficult.

If you have an interest in computer hardware and software but you arent sure which career path to choose, you probably want to learn about information technology (IT) and computer science. These two rewarding careers each require a slightly different set of skills, and they each appeal to a somewhat different type of person. An IT career involves installing, organizing and maintaining computer systems as well as designing and operating networks and databases. Computer science is focused entirely on efficiently programming computers using mathematical algorithms.

Knowledge is meant to be shared,

Getting CSE branch at this rank is quite difficult because this is the branch which gets filled very fast. Moreover, only in government colleges, there is SC quota. Other than that, there would not be any college that has SC quota.

For computer science engineering the preference for colleges should be:
1. Galgotias
2. AKGEC
3. JSS
4. ABES
The order is given by looking in all major regions while selecting these colleges according to their placement, infrastructure, faculties, opportunities, innovation and brand name.

Hello Abhiroop,
Your score is not bad but you need to have still a better percentage like 90% and above as PSG is a reputed institute. But you try your chances by applying for it.
