I have heard of UEM, Kolkata which is good college with best consistent placement record and to get more information about the college check the link:

See, CSE includes moth software and hardware whereas IT includes only software. In terms of placements, CSE is most preferred over IT. Also CSE includes subjects like machine learning, networking etc which are very critical in many companies. CSE would even open up your scope for research based firms like Apple Technology center, Google, Microsoft R&D where apart from coding other in depth knowledge of computer systems is required. In IT, mostly you would be placed as a tester or developer. But CSE has much more opportunities than that.
Hello Anandrao, I can understand your concern. Unfortunately no readymade answer is available. Also every person will have his biases. Hence inter se ranking will change as per evaluaters perception. However national ranking of engineering colleges is made by few private agencies besides government. You need to find this out from net to satisfy your query. But here again, two different agencies may rank these differently. Best wishes to you.

Hi Abhishek,
Admission requirements to apply to NUS differ with the education board you are currently enrolled with . If you are a Central and ISCE Boards student you need not take the SAT or ACT. However if you are pursuing your 12th from a state board you must take SAT or ACT. English language tests such as IELTS or TOEFL are not required.
Here are two important links which you should check

Having an 87.05 percentile and an OBC rank of 65,562 in JEE Mains, to get a seat in the IIIT Hyderabad Computer Science Engineering (CSE) course is not guaranteed. The OBC cutoff score is usually between 50,000 and 100,000 depending on which IIIT and in which year. Although your percentile is a good score, it might not be enough to reach the desired rank for IIIT Hyderabad, particularly since it is competitive. It is better to look at the actual cutoffs for the ongoing admission cycle to have a better idea.

Both B.Tech CSE and B.Tech IT are similar engineering branches with 80 to 90% overlap in syllabus. Both subjects prepare students for jobs as software engineer in IT industry and its related jobs. B Tech CSE is treated as a superior branch over B.Tech IT in Indian IT industry. CSE prepare students for system programming role and IT prepares students for Application Development Programming. B.Tech ECE is the core branch of engineering which prepares students for electronics and telecom Industries. ECE graduates are also eligible for jobs in IT and ITES industries.

Poor or nil placements - Mostly call centers .
Worst college life or no college life .
Terror of locals (gujjars)
