Education and career counsellor,

Hi Fahad,
If you are not interested to sit for exams, then a diploma is suitable. However, it won't hold much value for career prospects. Normally, exams are not required for Diploma programs but you need to check with the colleges. The branch of engineering is something, you must decide basis your interests. Both the branches have good scope. You may consider shifting your field as well basis your interest.

With 977 points on your state board examination and an 86 percantile in JEE Mains , you have a good probability of being admitted to SASTRA Universitys CSE program or the CSE specialization . in admissions, the university takes into account both Jee results and academic standing. Although an 86 percentile is succesful , cutoffs change every year, so its better to check out SASTRA Universitys website for the most recent entrance requirements or to get in touch with their admissions office to figure out the exactly what you are qualified for.

The probability of admission to top institutions is slim when searching with a KCET rank at 2,03,000. The colleges S K S J T Institute of Engineering, M V J College of Engineering, and East-West College of Engineering should be considered due to their willingness to accept students whose ranks exceed 1,00,000. The Computer Science and Electronics branches have reduced selection possibilities however S K S J T Institute of Engineering offers Computer Science with a closing rank of 15261 in KCET. The official website along with direct college contact should be used for checking accurate annual changes in cutoff ranks.

You can appear for different engineering entrance examinations like JEE which is the most important and if you qualify then you'll get a chance to get in the IITs by appearing in the JEE Advanced. You can also apply for the state entrance exams. They also include government colleges which are affordable. If you get a decent rank in JEE MAIN, then also there are chances you will get a government college. Government colleges are cheap and good. Try to get in them. Every decent private college is expensive. So try to get a government college.
