Salary is a function of various factors - i.e. (i) the institute where you have completed your B.Tech + M.Tech. e.g. a graduate from a top institute will command a higher salary. (ii) Your work experience - organization and type of work profile &#40;iii&#41; city - a metropolitan city will have higher salaries as compared to smaller cities and towns. (iv) Your current organization - i.e. where you will be joining - an MNC usually has higher salaries as compared to other organizations. Universities advertise their teaching opening at a regular interval. Nowadays minimum qualification for Asst Prof is PhD. Some universities and college s have relaxed rules on education qualifications. Asst Prof are hired in pay scale of Rs 15600-39100 known as PB3 with AGP of Rs 6000. In addition you will be entitled for central DA, HRA (30% of Basic) and other allowances. Private universities also provide similar scales to Asst Prof.

There is no university in India, which offers an undergraduate programme in astrophysics/astronomy. At the Master's degree and Ph.D levels, there are several options. However, there are several institutes in India which offer you a career in astronomy for higher studies (post graduate, Ph.D).

Hello Kshitij Thakur, I can understand your angst and anxiety. I do not know under what conditions you joined engineering. But there are many students who leave engineering as well as medicine even in the third year. It's always best to pursue the subject that you like the most. Being in the second year is no big deal. I feel that if you are feeling suffocated you must leave and join a course of your liking. Best wishes to you.

Yes, a Science student can chose B.A. LL.B. As a career option as you are eligible to take admission with any of the streams and also your stream subjects do not have to do anything with the curriculum at the law schools.
