B.Tech computer science is a preferred branch in comparison to B.Tech IT because it's acceptance in the Indian and international market. If you have a choice then you must opt for B.Tech CSE over B.Tech IT.

Dear Vicky,
All branches are good but I would suggest you to choose computer science engineering. It’s because scope of this branch is very good in near future. There is more demand of software engineers, moreover, it's only software engineer who get highest salary packages.

Hi Vaidraj,
There are no minimum score requirements to apply to USC, higher the grades the better for obvious reasons. A GPA of 8 and above will keep you in the safe zone. USC uses the 4.0 scale however use the scale used by your issuing university and there is no need to convert the GPA to a 4.0 scale.

The University of Waterloo is the clear leader but the University of Toronto and University of British Columbia are also good.

Unfortunately Sailey, 48% is not acceptable by any foreign university. There are standards which you must meet. Atleast 55% is required. Canada and US for that matter are extremely competitive and very high percentile would be required.
