After studying Computer Science & Engineering, you get recruited as a software developer or start your own industry as a software developer. You have got the chance of developing new software, new games, new applications (apps). For that I will suggest you to start looking into basic computer languages like C, C++, Java etc.
For CSE, I will refer you to University of Engineering & Management (UEM) under IEM group. Students passing out from IEM and UEM are all having 1-2 job offers. They are working all over the world in top positions. They are working in Microsoft, Google, Oracle, Honeywell, IBM research, INTEL and all top mult... View more
It is not quite the same. Most of the core courses are same all-over. The electives vary. Universities in US have more options and flexibility and more innovative programs. Also, the way the programs are delivered varies.
Based on current market trends computer science engineering has more scope and better placement opportunities. With all these new startups and MNCs coming to India CSE is a branch where you want to be in coming 4-5 years. Mechanical engineering has its own perks, a career in ME allows you to build a better future for you, and for the world. ME might not provide you a high paying job initially, but over the time with your experience you can grow.
Both the branches have scope and it all depends on your dedication.
Hi Peeyush,
If you plan to settle down in Asia , Hong Kong is a great place to study Computers, Business etc. From the China job market perspective plenty of scope is available. Average package differs as per the role offered and your previous experience if any. As per reports however MS Computer Science graduates earn around HK$300,00 to HK$650,000 annually.
Hope this helped.
Hi,
Hi,
According to my suggestion if you want to pursue computer science abroad then you can do it from USA. There are institutions like University of California, University of Michigan, Georgia Institute of Technology, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, etc. Yes, you will have the opportunity to work part time either inside the campus or maybe nearby the campus.
Another suggestion I want to give you is that you can pursue your Bachelor's in India and then you can go abroad for MS in computer science. Because, our country also has better range of institutions imparting quality learning in the same.
So, rest depends on... View more
Hi,
B.Tech in CSE is nothing but inventing new things. B.Tech IT is implementing the invented things. It would be better to go for B.Tech in CSE only.
if you want to do b.tech in cse branch you need to study one more year and try to score good marks in JEE main and advance so that you can able to get admission in IIT, nit and bit , because cse from a good college matters in your career building prospects . rvs college Jamshedpur is a common college , I don't think it offers you a quality education and good job package.
IIIT Hyderabad is the best for M.Tech CSE because of its world class faculty.

You can study CS in B.Tech even if you have not taken CS in school. Any way, the basics will be repeated again in the 1st semester - so not so difficult to grasp.
are you mad.
Hello There are some best engineering college for CSE in delhi after IITS, NITS and DTU .
B.Tech CSE graduates from top engineering institutes such as IITs, BITS and NITs, etc. have an edge in salary over B.Tech IT graduates in job market. In majority of engineering colleges where both B.Tech CS and B.Tech IT students graduates, employer's first preference is CSE graduate but there may not be salary difference during campus placements.
CE has more emphasis on Computer Hardware & Architecture whereas CS has more emphasis on Software systems.
Hi Akhil,
13 years of education must be completed before you venture out to Germany for higher studies. After 12th you may enroll into a bachelor's degree program and complete the first year to complete 13 years or you may clear IIT JEE Advanced test. Most importantly you must secure outstanding grades.
Good luck.
There are many job opportunities available in India in the field of computer science and engineering. If you have an idea of a computer based product, you can implement it with very less resources. It is a creative field with lot of opportunities for innovation.
