For batch 2016, the highest package offered was 9 Lacs per annum by Microsoft and the average was 3 Lacs per annum.

Around 90-95% of students from CSE/IT department gets placed in some or the other companies. The package could be as low as 2.8 Lacs or it could be high as 25 Lacs (although only 2 students got that in the entire history), but students at least got a job. The placement ratio of VIT is almost 95-99%. I actually haven't heard any of my seniors not getting placed in the last two years. Students who appeared for the placements are definitely placed in some or the other company, but CSE has been the branch which had the highest ratio for placements since last few years.
Different companies which come for recruiting involves Myntra, Snapdeal, Amazon, Paypal, Zomato, Flipkart, PayU, Tencor and JP Morgan. The list goes on like this.
