Hello,
It depends on the college. Most of the colleges have made it compulsory for one to have Maths in 10+2 to be eligible to apply for B.Com (H). This is so, because the syllabus of this degree has a good portion of Maths and Accountancy.
There are very less institutes who don't ask for Maths in B.Com (H). Some of them are GGSIPU, Amity University, BHU and Christ University, Bangalore.

Dear Surrendra,Madurai Kamraj University is recognized by UGC or AIU, but it not affiliated by DEB if anyone take admission in distance mode and wanted to apply any government job then this degree will be not acceptable because if you complete your education in distance mode then your university need the permission of Distance Education Bureau.

If you have taken up commerce as your stream in class 11 and you have taken best instead of maths then you can take admission in St. Xaviers if you get the eligible marks. If you belong to the Humanities stream then Maths is compulsory.
