There is no problem in preparing and seeking for better options next year, if you are not satisfied by the college then work hard for next year, but one thing I would like to suggest you is not to leave the college and prepare along with the B.Tech classes, as if you don't get any better options then your 1 year will be wasted, so prepare well, you may take help from different channels on YouTube and different IIT JEE preparation apps.

Yash, the core branches are ECE, CSE, EE, Mech., Civil etc but with passage of time the impact of technology has increased due to which many new branches have come up like Biotech, Food tech., Nanotech, Agri., Mechanatronics etc.
Many reputed private universities are offering these courses so you can check the details of these universities like Amity, Lovely, Sharda etc.
The eligibility criteria and admission process varies from institution to institution.

No, its really typical to get admission in any branch with such rank in VITEEE.
However, to get admission in your desired branch, the cut-off rank will vary considerably (for example, for CS it is under 8000).
If your rank is above 20,000 and you are willing to join VIT, you may do so by getting a seat under the management quota. All the best!

i have passed 2nd puc this year and given kcet exam.i took pcmc in 2nd puc and planned to do B.sc in comp.science which is quite really good for sure.but iam confused because Bsc.in information science is similar and too has more scope in the engineering field.i suggest you taking any of these which obviously nowdays gaining more scope.

Basically, there is no concession available based on VITEEE rank. Only state toppers are provided with full fee waiver. And also VIT has a scheme called STAR Students only for Tamil Nadu students. Two toppers (1 boy, 1 girl) from each district of Tamil Nadu are directly admitted into VIT with fee waiver. According to the rank secured, you will fall into different categories of fees. I am not 100% sure but foreign universities doesn't consider BCA as an engineering course. I believe only B.Tech students can only pursue their MS in Computers from the US. BCA holds less value in the US. Although, you should consider talking with that university to clear the doubts.

It is better to go for B.Tech instead of B.Sc (CS) because of following reasons:
1. In B.Tech CS, you will study core subjects which forms the basis of computer science. So, if you want to be a scientist, it is better to study subject from basics.
2. B.Tech CS is practical oriented course, while B.Sc CS is a theory oriented course. Now, if you want to be a scientist, it would better if you are perfect in practical.
3. B.Tech CS will give you more opportunities as it has everything to study from basics to latest technologies and developments.

As I know many of people doing BCA. It has a great opportunity in terms of job. It will be better for you rather than doing B.Sc. BCA.

B.Tech is better, as it fetches you a technical degree, while B.Sc would be considered as a regular Bachelor's degree. Also, if you opt for B.Tech, you would have more technical exposure as the course content is more detailed, number of practicals and projects would also be more as B.Tech is completed in 4 years. But yes, if you want to complete your studies as soon as possible, B.Sc would be better. And the fees for B.Sc is also lesser relatively. However, if you are interested in computer Science field and want to learn more, B.Tech is suggested. All the best.
